Technology Services Group acquires Dayta to strengthen presence in education sector
Edmund Buckley, Head of Direct Private Equity at Pictet, commented: “When we first invested in TSG, we saw the opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial leadership team to deliver their growth ambitions. Complementary and immediately accretive acquisitions like this are emblematic of how we can achieve this in the highly fragmented managed IT services market, where customers value technical expertise and quality.”
Through the combination of the two businesses, Dayta’s customers will have access to the TSG Academy, enabling educators and learners to understand and get the best out of their technology. The TSG Academy has to date worked with more than 500 organisations and delivered training to over 4,000 individuals.
Rory McKeand, CEO of TSG, added: “We’re delighted to have completed this key strategic acquisition in order to grow our existing footprint in the education sector. Dayta has a strong pedigree serving education customers, and the business aligns neatly with the values of our company.”
All of the existing staff at Dayta, which is headquartered in Aylesbury near Oxford, will join TSG. Moreover, TSG plans to create additional jobs for talented, ambitious individuals.
Samantha Ayres, director at Dayta, said: “We know TSG well and there’s a fantastic synergy between the two organisations. Our business was established with the aim of helping organisations streamline their operations through technology, a priority shared by TSG. They are a Microsoft and cloud-focused national IT services provider of outstanding quality and we’re happy to be a part of their future growth trajectory.”
