Women in Times of Change
We are joined by three of the world’s most distinguished female leaders in their respective fields. BBC journalist, former Independent columnist and Assistant Editor of The Times, Mary Ann Sieghart, Dr. Pippa Malmgrem, award-winning author of two leadership business books, a start-up entrepreneur, former White House economist and a World Economic Forum fellow, and Elif Aktug, Equity Partner of the Pictet Group and co-founder of the Pictet Women’s Network.

Mary Ann Sieghart is one of Britain’s preeminent current affairs journalists, a former assistant editor at the Times and columnist at the Independent. She has won a large following for her columns on politics, economics, feminism, parenthood and life in general. She has presented many programs on BBC Radio 4, such as Start the Week, Fallout, Profile, Analysis, One to One and a clutch of one-off documentaries. Her forthcoming book The Authority Gap, written during a fellowship at All Souls College Oxford, explores how we can change perceptions of women in authority.
Dr Pippa Malmgren is a trend spotter who advises investors and governments about economic policy. She anticipated the Financial Crisis in 2007, the Chinese slowdown, Brexit, Trump and inflation returning. She has featured on the BBC, Bloomberg, The Financial Times and The Economist. Her latest book is The Infinite Leader: Balancing the Demands of Modern Business Leadership.
Elif Aktuğ is an Equity Partner at Pictet and lead fund manager of Pictet Asset Management’s Agora, a European equity market neutral strategy running USD 3 billion that has received multiple awards for its past performance. In 2020, Elif won the prestigious “Best Female Fund Manager” award from Hedge Funds Review. Prior to joining Pictet 10 years ago, Elif ran the European long/short book at Goldman Sachs. She speaks at numerous conferences, including the London Sohn Conferences, and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Rosario Lebrija Rassvetaieff is Group New Media and Sponsoring Manager at the Pictet Group, where she hosts and produces the podcasts ‘Found in Conversation’ and ‘Prix Pictet: A lens on sustainability’. Born and raised in Mexico City, she holds a combined honours BA in Literature and International Relations (First Class) from the University of Southampton and an MSc in Communication and Media Studies (Distinction) from the London School of Economics.
