Alice Charles
Alice Charles has nineteen years’ experience working for the public and private sector in the areas of city and urban planning, real estate, urban development & regeneration, construction, infrastructure, environment, climate change and public policy. She leads the World Economic Forum's cities & real estate work streams, including the Global Future Council on Cities and Urbanization, the Real Estate Industry Action Group, the Future of Urban Development and Services Initiative and co-leads the Systemic Efficiency-Transitioning Energy & Buildings initiative and the production of all city and urban development related content and curation of events at World Economic Forum summits. She is an External Member of the Board, National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) Planning Advisory Committee, Ireland. She previously worked for the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Ireland; Dail Eireann (Irish Parliament), Ireland; Jacobs Engineering and Avison Young, London, UK. She holds a Master’s in Global Leadership, World Economic Forum, in conjunction with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Cornell Tech, INSEAD, London Business School and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS); MBA, University College Dublin; Postgraduate Diploma in Town and Country Planning, Queens University Belfast; degree (Hons) in Environmental Planning, Queen’s University Belfast. She is a Chartered Member, Royal Town Planning Institute and Member of the Irish Planning Institute. She is a recipient of the Irish Echo Irish 40-Under-40 Award 2017 for Irish and Irish Americans who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of work before the age of 40.
Zsolt Kohalmi
Zsolt Kohalmi is Global Head of Real Estate and Co-CEO of Pictet Alternative Advisors. Mr.Kohalmi brings two decades of pan-European investment experience and has invested in excess of USD20 billion into all real estate asset classes in more than 20 European countries throughout several investment cycles. Previously he was Managing Director and Head of European Acquisitions at Starwood Capital Group, one of the top 3 firms in global private equity real estate. At Starwood, he was instrumental in sourcing and executing a number of successful investments for Starwood Capital’s commercial, hospitality and debt platforms. Prior to joining Starwood Capital in 2013, Mr. Kohlami was Chief Investment officer at Meyer Bergman for 8years, a European real estate investment firm that he co-founded. Before that he was Director at GE Capital, and also worked in investment banking with ABN AMRO Hoare Govett. Mr. Kohalmi, who is fluent in nine languages, holds an M.S degree in economics from the University of Budapest and an MBA in INSEAD.
