Therese Zabell
Therese Zabell has won the gold medal for the Olympic Games within the sailing team in Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996). In addition, she has obtained 5 gold medals and one silver in World Championships, 3 gold medals in European championships and has been proclaimed the winner of international Olympic weeks and 13 Spanish championships on 14 occasions. She has been number one in the world sailing ranking on several occasions and chosen Best Sailor of the 20th Century by the International Sailing Federation. After her retirement from Olympic life, in 1998, she launched the Ecomar Foundation, of which she is the executive president. Its objective is to educate and raise awareness, especially among children and young people, about the importance of caring for the marine environment in order to save the planet. ECOMAR has already reached hundreds of thousands of people carrying out activities and inviting them to be part of the solution. Her motto is “take care of the only two places you can never move from; your body and your planet”. She has been an international consultant for UNESCO on issues related to sport, a member of the European Parliament and vice president of the Education, Culture and Sport Commission, where she worked to include sport as a new competition within community programs and 1st vice president of the Olympic Spanish Committee.
Gonzalo Rengifo Abbad
Gonzalo Rengifo Abbad is a graduate in economics and business by CUNEF (Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros) in Madrid, that he completed with several financial specialization trainings. With an extended experience of over 25 years in the financial industry, Gonzalo joined Pictet in 2002 as Regional Head for Spain, Portugal and Latin America. He began his investment career as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager in Safei in 1988, and subsequently assumed different positions of responsibility in the Private Banking area, as Director at Banco Urquijo and Deputy Head at Schroders. Gonzalo often participates in economic specialized television and radio broadcasts.
