Fraud infos and alerts
Pictet would like to alert the public about the following:
1) Pictet's official websites are www.pictet.com (Pictet Group) and www.am.pictet (Pictet Asset Management).
2) Pictet Asset Management only sells products through licensed financial institutions to individual investors and has no direct sales channels (excluding Japan).
Channels and modus operandi
Recently it has come to Pictet’s attention that our trade names “Pictet”, “瑞士百達” , “瑞士百達資產管理”(or “瑞士百達資管” ), “瑞士百達財富管理” (or “瑞士百達財管” ), logo and/or certain of our staff’s names have been misused by unauthorised persons for illegal fund-raising, such as providing retail investors with stock trading training, money transfer insurance, account opening or stock trading services in the name of “Pictet”, "Pictet Asset Management" or “Pictet Wealth Management” via mobile apps, webpages and chat groups. We reserve our legal rights to take legal action against such unauthorised use of our name and/or logo.
Scams are advertised across multiple public and private channels such as:
- Fraudulent mobile trading applications (e.g. crypto, currencies)
- Fraudulent websites and blog posts
- Fraudulent Whatsapp, Telegram, X (ex-Twitter) and WeChat accounts and/or chat groups
- Fraudulent Facebook pages
- Youtube videos
In addition to financial losses, potential investors expose themselves to identity theft if personal data is shared when joining these fraudulent schemes.
Investors should apply caution when dealing with information found on internet or social media platforms. Be vigilant about unsolicited calls, emails or messages. The Pictet Group does not use free email domains such as @gmail.com, @yahoo.com and @outlook.com.
Pictet will never ask you to provide login details over the phone nor via SMS, video calls, chats or emails.
