Rana Mitter is Professor of the History and Politics of Modern China, Director of the University of Oxford China Centre and Fellow of St Cross College. Professor Mitter presents and contributes to BBC Radio Three's Night Waves and Sunday Feature, and has worked with BBC Radio 4's Start the Weekand Today. His new book China’s Good War explores the foundational stories of Chinese nationalism at home and its newfound confidence abroad.
Dr Keyu Jin is an associate professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science and holds a B.A., M.A. and PhD from Harvard University, and is a general partner at Sky9 capital, a leading venture fund in China. A columnist for Project Syndicate and Caixin Magazine, the main economics and finance magazine in China, she writes widely about the Chinese economy and global finance, and has made multiple op-ed contributions to the Financial Times. She was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.
Dr. Dong Chen is Senior Asia Economist at Pictet Wealth Management. Prior to joining Pictet, Dr. Chen was an Assistant Professor at Peking University, teaching Advanced Econometrics and Chinese Economy to both domestic and international students, before joining the financial industry as the China Economist at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He has also held visiting positions at Yale University and Stanford University and has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (2005), an M.A. in Economics from the University of Victoria (2000) and a B.A. from Chongqing University (1998).
Francis Pike studied history at Cambridge and is an historian and economic and geopolitical adviser. He lived and worked for 20 years in Japan, China and India and has advised financial institutions as well as governments in Japan, Australia, India, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
